Life has no plan for you because life is just an idea, incapable of thought. What happens to you and what you decide and do is the result of an unimaginable number of converging circumstances, all of which are both random and inevitable at the same time.
Of course, don't walk around every day thinking that. You'll just end up moping all the time (like you were predestined to do).

Interesting question. My answer - well, "what I want" is a moving target, and I'm an optimist. I tend to scale "what I want" to what is possible, what is uplifting, and what creates the most joy for those I love. At this time in my life everyone I love is moderately healthy, and those I've loved who have passed on did so with soft and essentially painless grace. I am not homeless, I am not hungry, and though our income is small, I do not really need anything. Life responded to the choices I made, and now that I'm an old woman I can look back and see all in all, life has given me what I want.

Life doesn't give you what you want, or what's best for you, because there isn't enough in this big big world would satisfied human. To me life is like a video games, easiest level -less prize and you got bored, the harder level - you get the bigger prize, but sometimes the game so hard that you want to smash the console! Even you try hard to make your dream come true, but the result sometimes different. So if you stuck in a level, go back to lower level and enjoy the game (I mean life), then try it again to challenge the next level. The important thing: be glad what you saved in games (I mean: had in life).

Life gives it and then takes it away. Life can't always be good, it would appear to be like you've just be in heaven. My life has gave me more then I can handle, though I'm trying to deal with it slowly and to give me the most financial use I'm looking for.

Life didn't give me jack.
My family has given me things that money can't buy: love, caring, time, effort.
My friends have given me the same.

I wanted it all at one time in my life, and now I realize it's just a gradual process... Life has given me all that I could handle, one step at a time.
It's not where you end up, it's the journey that counts... :)
