I live furthur south in Mexico than Mexico City. Yes, it is winter here, just like it is winter in Miami or in Arizona. it is not as cold as in the states, but many days the temp in the daytime is about 60 and at nite it is in the 40's. Houses here are not built with central heat...and it is COLD at night. Most of Mexico is at high altitude, between 4000 and 8000 ft. It is hot down on the beach, but cold up here in the mountains.

It is still considered December...thought it might be hot/warm temperature wise...the people who live there..find the weather "chilly" and consider it winter...and it is hilarious everytime i go and visit and am there in capris and a t-shirt and they're like put a sweater on..it is cold...and i always say it isn't...so i get a good giggle outta it..but yeh..it is still winter!

Winter, you have to go way south (over the equator) to change season.
