Both had cannon arms and good mobility, the physical gifts to take over any game. Which one was the better quarterback, comparing mid to late 1980s elway to mid-1990s favre. Also, who had the stronger arm?

Gotta go with Elway. He was the cannon of his era. Plus, he was well respected by his team mates. Favre was wonderful, but won't bow out with dignity because he has hung around 2 years too long.
I am pretty sure Elway had the stronger arm, but it is debatable.

This is the USA and the only thing people care about is winning. With that said Elway won 2 Super Bowls and Farve 1 so Elway is the better QB. As for you Marino lovers, all his yards don't mean crap because he never won a Super Bowl. He is also slowly losing all his records so get over it.

It has to be John Elway, because he has 2 super bowl rings, and favre has one. Also, Elway got his first super bowl rong by defeating brett favre's very own packers in the super bowl. SO I think John Elway is a lot better.

when you debate about quarterbacks its kind of hard cause most people compare by rings. favre had some good teams around him in his earlier years but elway luckily had a good core of team mates throughout his whole career. with that said, to pplay at such a high level for so many years with up and down teams is a great acomplishment, so i say faRve

Edge to Elway for his come-from-behind heroics. If he was in a more pass-happy offense in his earlier years instead of being stuck with that doofus Dan Reeves he would've racked up monster stats.

farve had the rings in his prime so based on winning him but based on athletic ability and the cannon elway but i think marino was a better qb he just got stuck on a lot of bad teams had to throw his name in there
