You're right, many things in life are free and they are very good.
But in this western society we live there are many good things which all of us should enjoy and they cost much.

I don't know if the best things in life are free. I think that if you don't pay a price for them in some way, the things are not appreciated. Free often is taken for granted. Libraries, schooling, etc.
