The "goat sucker" story is from central and south america. It is a type of "ghost" story inspired by real vampire bats. These bats are extremely shy and only feed in complete darkness so are rarely ever seen actually drinking blood. They don't suck blood but make small incisions and drink the blood as it flows. Farmers would find dried blood on their animals and a belief arose that some sort of demonic monster was responsible. Where I live a "strange" looking dried out animal body was once found and people said it was a chupacabras. It turned out to be a dried skate or sting ray!

Uh no,..I defer. It came from stories out of Mexico, rural areas.
A chupacabra is supposedly an alien being type animal. They
believe it comes from another planet, and were dropped off here
They reportedly have claws, and sharp teeth and red glowing
eyes. And they eat their livestock. There have been lots of
"sightings" of these strange creatures. UFO magazine writes
about it. I don't think it originated from the x-files.

Yeah, from Mexico! I remember hearing about a few years ago. I remember the huge "boom" the Chupacabras was in Mexico. Apparently, it was seen in the country, There were all kinds of tales about it...I don´t think somebody ever actually saw it.
