Its hard to rub off a nickname. Unless you do something to kill that image you will have a hard time. Unless you get new friends you may have to live with it. The links might give you suggestion on a new name but to kill a nick name is like being type cast.
The biggest jokers are either Loki or Q if your a trekkie :)
