Impossible to say. I'd let it charge 8 hours to be sure, or until the battery gauge says full (which could take less).

My cell phone company recommended over night for full charge. That's what I did and I've had not problems.

read the book that comes with the phone depending on the type of phone and battery it could be any where from 20 min. to 12 hrs.

simple read the manuel it should tell u how long to keep it charged for the first time. all items electronic, phones, ect. does come with a manuel. unless u don't know how to read.

leave it to charge for 8 hours even if the indicator shows fully charged earlier...

It should take a couple of minutes (maybe 15?) to get it somewhat full.
