Even on sale, Macy's jewelry is expensive compared to what you could buy at an independent jeweler. I also know a woman who bought a 14k gold chain at Macy's, but thought it looked odd after about a week. She took it to a jeweler and it was only gold plate. I would never buy jewelry there, or at any department or mall store. I was taught to go to the source jewelers.
No need to though, I have so much jewelry that I inherited and have no place to wear it to. It all came from the diamond district in NYC. My every day stuff makes Macy's look like toy jewelry.

It would depend on which diamond retailer you are talking about. Tiffany's most likely has more expensive jewelry than Macy's. Zales is probably on the same level w/ Macy's. I would go with Macy's because you can find more sales than probably any other well-known jewelry retailer.

Macys is an excellent place to get jewlery. Actually i think since its the holiday you will be able to purchase jewlery with a deal or discount rather than at a diamond retailor.

Macy's has a lot of nice jewelry. No reason not to buy it there.

macy's is good for costume jewelry, but i didn't think they had like diamonds or stuff. if you want expensive stuff then go to a jeweler.
