i like to know if its ok to do and when u have a iud. i do feel better after i dio it. but i do not want to get anything from douching. i only doing 1mth

Douching is not OK. No matter IUD or not. Why do u feel you need to douche? If you have an odor that doesnt seem normal to you , you should visit your doctor ASAP. Here is more info on douching.

Speaking from experience, it is not ok to douche. Yes, you may feel clean and "refreshed" after you do it, but in actuality, you can be causing more problems for yourself. Your body and vagina self cleanses and douching can can rid you of your natural fluid and cause bacteria which can lead to bacterial vaginosis. My advice to you is that if you have a problem with vaginal odor, go see your family doctor to make sure that there is no underlying condition. If there is, they can most likely treat it. However, if you don't have an infection of any sort, then I say don't worry about it..cleanse yourself with warm water and mild soap. Every woman has their own vaginal smell, so if you're trying to get rid of an odor, it may never go away, because it may be your natural odor.

You should never douche. It kills the bacteria in your vagina that cause odor, but also kill the bacteria, called flora, in your vagina that keep it healthy. The flora basically eat yeast, which also grows in there, keeping it from getting out of hand and causing a yeast infection. I don't think an IUD has anything to do with it, but I'm not sure.

Its never ok to douche.... Its not good for your female parts. Your vagina can take care of herself, and when you douche, you actually make the smell worse

douching can actually make it worse sometimes your not actually cleaning it out when you do that the dirty stuff still just sits in there anyways

It's just vinegar and water as far as I know so it should be safe. Do it as often as needed. I don't see how it could make the smell worse.

the vagina is self cleaning no need to do it, if you feel your have a problem with discharge or the smell down there see a doctor about it
