Give them what they want. Although take your time to do so, carefully taking note of any identifiable marks or clothing. This then can be used later in a police report. Just act scared (which you probably will be) and if they have a weapon Do Not Fight them!! This job belongs to the people who we pay to do that. (THE POLICE)

I have been mugged three times. Once on a subway in NYC, once on a bus going to college and once in a parking lot of a ritzy store where I worked.
On the subway, I gave the creep my 2.00 purse, because I am a cops daughter and know where to hide the important stuff.
On the bus going to college I jammed a pencil in the jerks hand as he was groping me trying to find my money,
and in the parking lot the degenerate was under my car and grabbed my ankle when I got to the door to unlock it. I almost fell but righted myself and beat the crap out of him with my heeled shoe, called security to give a description and went home. The next morning I went to a job agency to find a nice job in an office that required little traveling to get to.
The factor in all my decisions of how to react were total anger that some **** was threatening me in any way.

Throw your purse as far away from you as possible, then run. Since they want what is in your purse anyway, they will most likely follow the purse and forget about you... well, at least let you go. Luckily I've never had to put that plan into action, but I read that advice recently, and it seemed pretty logical.

Considering I am usually carrying several knives hidden on my person and have trained in martial arts, I would asses the situation. If he has a gun, I will try to get the tactical advantage, I.E. getting the gun pointed away so I could draw a blade. If, however, he is unarmed I would use mace to deter him then resort to martial arts.

I would probably hand them my valuables. I'm small and I probably couldn't win a physical fight. I might try to make a run for it and call for help if I had a good escape route.

lmao that's what I'd do. He's probably got more than I have! I don't have anything that's monetarily valuable. And they don't want my cats or husband. All 4 are spoiled worthless!

Well if he has a gun or knife i hand over whatever he wants without question. But if he's just some young punk trying to get a free ride at my expense, I will put up a fight.

i will give him everything i have and pray for dear life. it's better if i lose everything rather than die an untimely death. i hope that this wont happen to any of us here. we have a co worker who got shot in her right cheek even if she gave her things. that was awful. thank God she's ok and recuperating. but we were traumatized by what happened.
