I've not heard this one either, but to me it sounds like it is saying that you become more watchful, you see and understand more. (Perhaps it also is saying you "have each others backs?) And that your hearts are forever joined and of one accord.
It sounds similar to": When two people are in love their "joys are doubled, but their sorrows are halved."

Ha, I've honestly never heard this saying before but my interpretation of it would be.......that you both see things a different way, you have different point of views and different opinions. But you have one heart, you both love of each other the same way and that's where your heart become ones. Your love for each other unites you.
