I dont wanna sound stupid but i heard they they are gonna build a new set of twin towers (world trade center)?? i was wondering if it was true could any body tell me? and if they have blue prints or whatever could u send me the site name IF ITS true they are building them?? thank alot!!!

yes they are and they have projected looks of it on some site, look pretty cool... but I think they are building 3 towers

Yes. There will be one main tower and a few smaller towers instead. There has been some controversy locally centering primarily because the main tennant and current lease holder of the world trade center somehow felt he and only he should decide what the buildings would look like, assign architects to build etc. The tennant essentially won the debate, however a memorial space was added, approved and integrated into the site.
The first segment(s) are being laid for the new building(s) which will replace the old building. The footprints where the old towers formerly stood will become a memorial.

They started this week to rebuild. The first beam was put into place and it should take several years to complete the project. In total, the proposed building will be 1,776 feet. All I could say it's about time. I used to drive passed there to get to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital on the West Side of Manhattan and those blue wooden panels surrounding the site were getting annoying.
