Geographically, East Asia is composed of China, Mongolia, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong , Taiwan, and Guam. Contrast this with the SOUTHEAST Asia.
Anyway, the islands in the above group are Guam, Taiwan and Japan. The corresponding capitals of those countries are, Agana, Taipei and Tokyo. Guam, however, is sometimes grouped with Pacific Island groups.

Along the coast of Asia there are two island countries Taiwan(still an independent country) and Japan.The capital of Taiwan is Taipei and Japan is Tokyo.
