someone will drop 82 again. it will be either kobe bryant or greg oden. It can happen this year. With Lamar Odom out for at least a month look for kobe to take more shots. More shots equals more points and we know kobe he'll bring the ball up and fire a three with 20 seconds left in the shot clock. kobe will do it again. I thought mcgrady but he said it himself he doesnt play hard. and whos gonna stop greg oden next year. hes too big. its either kobe or greg oden

Greg Oden? You're kidding right? He doesn't even play pro. For all you know he could suck like 1000 of the other overhyped players who were good in college and then sucked in the pros (JJ Reddick to name one).
I think that there are a couple players who are capable of doing it other than Kobe. LeBron can definately do it, he's the most consistent player in the league. Carmelo might be able to do it. It's all about how consistent you are. If you can play the same way at the end of the game as you play in the beginning, you can do it.

In my opinion, i would say that Kobe Bryant or Gilbert Arenas has the chance of scoring 82 points or more. But if i had to choose between those 2 players, i would go with no.24, Kobe Bryant. KB is those players that can score very few points in the 1st half, and out of no-where he just explodes and ends up taking the whole game to his hand by scoring over 40 points in the second half.
And when will this happen, i have no specific date and/or year but if it does occur, then for sure in less than 6 years. :-)

Greg definitely has a good chance at doin' it...maybe 100. But Greg, Kobe & Gilbert Arenas have the highest chance to do it.

I think if the Mavs are playing a high-scoring team like the Suns or someone, Dirk Nowitzki has the potential to put up 82.

I think King James has a chance to do it. . .in my opinion, Lebron is much better than Kobe. Both came right out of high school, yet the Cavaliers can kick butt.
