Why were people so mean to Jewish people?

Jews in the Middle Ages were blamed by Christians for Killing Jesus. I beleive Pontus Pilates says something to the effect of "Your people will be cursed forever for this" or something.

To this effect Jews were relegated to handling money and to banking since banking was seen as a sin by the Catholic church. The Jews took to this easily since their culture puts a great emphasis on education it was one of the few things they were allowed to do that generated good income in the middle ages. This led to Jews becoming stereotyped as greedy and sinful. This practice of hating jews continued up until the 20th century culminating with the Holocaust.


As you know of course the poor will always harbor a resentment towards the better off. Especially if they are an easily identifiable group like Jews.


In modern times Jews formed the nation of Israel (Controversially I might add) and again face the same jealousy from the Arab nations. The Nation of Israel is wealthy the Arab nations are not. Many Palestinians in particular blame Israel (and jews) for taking their lands in fact many Arabs blame Israel (and jews) for their problems.


Many people blame the Jews for their influence in banking and in the USA for their influence in the Media. (Many motion picture houses were founded and ran by Jews)

Old hatreds die hard you see.


Its amazing really the Jews have been hated for thousands of years yet they survive and thrive like no other ethnic group has under its circumstances.


Its scary really how many people I personally know actually truly hate Jews for nothing other than the fact that they are Jews.

Jewish people are not only blamed for the death of christ, but during the middleages Catholics thought it was a sin to handle money. So Jews were employed to do so for them and so doing a lot of Jews became moneylenders which is not seen as a favorable position.

Because Satan HATES the Jewish people. They are the apple of God's eye. They preserved the Bible for the gentiles and Jesus was a Jew. If it weren't for the Jew there would be no Christians. Satan hates the Jew more then any other people. Satan has been trying to wipe the Jews off of the face of the earth since the beginning of time. But all his attempts have failed because they are still here (Praise God!!).

They were mean to blacks in the south too, and gypsys, and gays, and other groups.
It happens because the people that are being mean need to look down on a group of people different from them so they can feel superior.
This happens because they really feel inferior deep inside, and the only thing that helps is to look down on others, to make yourself feel better about who you are. It is really sick.
And it can result in some horrible things being done.
