Hi

Ok , it could be that the monitor still has the screen resolution from your laptop , so , if you plug in the monitor to your laptop , you have to send the video from your laptop to the monitor right , ok if this is the case then plug it back and just reset the screen resolution , now look at the monitor you would see that you adjust the screen resolution so do it , put everything in default mode ok . Then at last you can verify that the pins on he cable are not bend or otherwise

The monitor or display of a computer is the primary user interface. Monitor problems are some of the most common computer problems since the voltages inside a monitor can be as high as 10 KV. Many of the problems can be fixed yourself by simply changing the settings. Detailed instructions available at http://fixit.in/monitor.html

Did you check the signal cable???

Just wiggle wires for a while. Can't be a driver problem, they weren't removed or changed. maybe the monitor its self, Un plug the power for a few minutes, then try it again.

Cleaning the register is a good way of improving the performances of your pc and eliminate malwares and trojans. A program I trust is CCleaner http://bitly.com/UrALrK
