Christmas is a holiday for sheeple. It is the same boring crap every year, and people dust off their fake kindness and go out and shop for weeks to get the "perfect gift" in order to get some fake reaction. Never mind that they pushed people out of the way to get it, or take time away from family to go out and buy buy buy. It is a bunch of materialistic nonsense. And very exclusive. People without family, people who have family far away always feel pressured by as&holes trying to "spread holiday cheer".
I refuse to be a part of this conspiracy. Go ahead and have your fun, sheeple. Ignorance is bliss, so perhaps your low IQ allows this time to seem enjoyable.

Don't know. Wish I did. Don't understand it at all - my husband's one of them. Has everything he needs, loads of stuff he doesn't need but thinks he wants, and he's "down" all the time. From about September on it's a constant strain to keep him happy and out of the cracker factory.

They might be lonely, they may have lost a family member, they might be pissed off cause they never managed to pay their bills by the end of the year, or they may just be spoiled. You can never really tell the true reason unless they tell you directly.

I think most of it is probably seasonal depression. There is a certain despondency that simply comes with the fall/winter season. Most of it is probably less sunshine!

You have to focus on what you are thankful for, instead of what you would like to have. Some people are never satisfied, restless in spirit, regardless of the holidays.

for me its being alone....no family, and I dont want to be the third wheel at my friends places.
One of my friends is a doctor and makes alot of money, but she gets depressed at christmas because people expect her to spend alot of money on them.....and she has to buy for people she barely knows.

cause they have this image of the perfect christmas, like in movies and everything where it's snowing and everyone's happy and everything, and in real life it never lives up to that.

some people are depressed because they are alone...you can have all the money in the world, but if you don't have someone to share it with, what's the point???
