I may be worrying for nothing...I had unprotected sex on the 20th day of my last cycle. I got what I thought was my period 2 days later (lighter than usual and more brown instead of red, lasted only 4 days, mine usually last 6), which was 5 days early. I was relieved and had no more worries of being pregnant. Since then, though, I have been extrememly tired - almost unable to get anything done when I get home from work. I've been getting headaches - nothing serious, but I never get headaches. I've been eating more than usual, and thirsty constantly. I started to get especially worried and looking things up online because for the past few days, I have been going to the bathroom constantly...

My question is, is it possible that I am pregnant even though I had my period? I've heard of implantation bleeding, but can that last 4 days? Are these symptoms of pregnany or something else?

Please help, I don't know if I'm ridiculous to be worrying about this or if I should take a test...

yes you can have a period if you are pregnant. But that does not really mean that you are pregnant. The only way you are going to know if you are pregnant is to go to a doctor, or try one of those home test. Otherwise it could be something else. You may have a bladder infection, cause you are constantly in the bathroom. There are so many conditions that you might have. The best thing is to check with you woman's health doctor, and fine out what is really going on.

There's no reason to be scared of a HPT. That is the best way to tell if you have something to be scared of them or REALLY scared about another disease which your symptoms sound like. And, that's diabetes. Its three classic symptoms are thirst, hunger, and more urination than usual. And it's nothing to mess around with.

If I were you (which I'm obviously not, and couldn't be), I'd get the pregnancy test. Then, if you're not pregnant, tell your parents so you can be tested for diabetes or another disease. Although, if you ARE pregnant, you're going to have to tell them eventually.

Another, possible way of putting things off more, if you want, is to find someone that you know who IS diabetic, borrow their blood test and have them show you how to test yourself.

If you're not pregnant, and you're not diabetic, then you probably need to see your doctor anyway; he won't say anything to your folks (unless you're under 18, then he has to), and you don't have to be ashamed of telling him/her anything. But, it sounds like something's going on with you. It needs professional evaluation.

You should take a test, just incase. It could be implantation bleeding, usually it doesn't last that long, but you never know! Everyone's bodies are different. Goodluck :)

Yes, you can. I was. Take a test, talk to mom about it, one of my girls was scared to death to tell me she was pg but it eased her mind because she had bleeding when she was pg too. Then if the test is positive you need to see a dr.
