My earlobes got infected =( after I got them pierced. I took the earrings out and then I just let the holes close up. It's been several years, is it safe to get them repierced in the same spot?

It's completely safe to have them repierced. However, you should be very careful and clean them often with the suggested products. Just keep an eye out for redness or swelling or any type of drainage or foul odor - which would indicate infection. I know a few people that are just prone to infection and haven't been able to maintain an ear piercing. Just keep a close eye on it and you should be OK.

yes, I would think so. I got mine pierced when I was in 4th grade but I didn't like taking care of them, like twisting the earrings. I was a baby and said it hurt too bad. So I let the holes close back up. About 1 year ago I got my ears pierced again and I had no problem at all. I think I was just too young the first time. Just make sure to use the ear care solution religiously and you'll be fine.

That wouldn't be a problem at all, cause after several years as you said you will be fine, but be aware that maybe you have sensitive skin which cause infection.

It might seem okay but you should talk to your doctor on how to keep your earlobe from being infected again. =)

Oh yeah. My aunt did that, and she hasn't had any problems. There isn't any reason for you to not get them re-pierced. Just make sure that you take take care of them this time!!! :]]
