People go to Hull from Ottawa for clubbing.

It depends on your tastes and what kind of music you like. Your best bet in Ottawa is to hit the Byward Market. It's the downtown area and is made up of restaurants and shops and bars. MTL, Helsinki, or at the other end of the scale there's Zaphod's which is the alternative/brit pop bar.

Outside of the market, there's Barrymore's on Bank St..

You could go over to hull as well but keep in mind that the drinking age in 18 so I usually find it's a much younger crowd (unless that's what you're looking for).

The market tends to be a younger crowd while the 27+ crowd like Elgin street clubs. All you need to do is walk down Elgin and you'll see which ones are hopping.
