So often it is about guilt and/or living up to other people's expectations. Sometimes guilt keeps us from doing something we will later regret. However, I think that a lot of guilt is misplaced and that it is important to be considerate, but still do what is truly important for you. Happy holidays!

Like how come I don't keep my resolutions? Well it depends on how much energy there is in "Do" and how much energy there is in "Don't". A good way to give energy to what you want is to make plans before you go to sleep at night. Another way to get energy is to stand at attention and say "I am in charge here".
