Traditional medicine does work with modern medicine. The problem lies with modern medicine. Since doctors started to specialize, they don't look at the body as a whole. They only look at the specific part that they are trying to treat. Another problem is that modern medicine does not try to cure patients; they only treat and mask the symptoms of the condition or disease.

I hope that one day all fields of medicine come together for the good of the patient. Until that day comes, we patients must keep up with not only the latest advancements of modern medicine, but also with what is considered "outdated" or "folk" medicine.

Modern medicine is based on scientific method where a proposition, data collection, experimentation and proof are involved. Ancient or traditional methods are mostly based on experience and statistical data and clinical testing. When we accept the statistics of mathematics for any output understanding in management why should we deny the traditional system ? But rationalism is most important.

You want to remove a stuck stamp from a cover, what would you do ? you will wet the backside of the cover and start pulling the stamp from all corners and all sides to avoid the stamp from getting torn if it is pulled only from one side. Similarly each department of medicine should be used in a combined fashion so that one can minimise the side effects and get a faster and good cure. As patients we do this automatically but the doctors out of jealousy condem other fields of medicine and say only theirs is the best and proper one to cure the patients.
