The olympic games are held every 4 years in a certain country. There are the summer games and the winter games which occur around 2 years apart from each other.
Participants from all around the world represent there country in a variety of disciplines including
Athletics
Swimming
Diving
Weight lifting
Shooting
Diving
Table Tennis
and alot more they are just a few

Australia had a good performance and that was to be expected as it is there home. Outstanding performances included Cathy Freeman who won the Womens 400m Sprint and Ian thorpe who swam tremedously to break several world swimming records. he retired recently

They WERE held in the Australian city of Sydney 6 years ago. Were we came 3rd. As usual performing way above our "weight". In fact per head of population we won a Gold medal for about every 1:2 million people in the country. Which is considerably better than the US or China can ever hope to achieve!! Mainly it was just a great fun time!!!

they r the olympic games in which diffrent people from different countries come to represent their country and some of them go by winning some awards.these games are the international level games which includes shooting,long jump,short jump,different kinds of races etc.
