...Rosie O'Donnell's "ching chong" comment? Seriously, that was not cool at all. I'm not offended that she attempted to imitate Chinese. Not at all - one can't expect her to speak fluent Chinese. One can, however, expect her to not toss around ethnic slurs like that. FYI, "ching chong" is pretty bad. It's the Asian equivalent of the n-word.

I think she just craves attention, what with this and the Donald Trump thing all in the same month.

Okay, apparently this is a little hard for people to grasp since "ching chong" isn't as widely used as the n-word. To an Asian person, this is just as bad as the Michael Richards incident.

I'm not saying that everybody should agree with me, but if you don't understand my point even somewhat, then you've obviously never been the target of bigotry. Sure, everybody's been insulted at some point, but racism is different. One's ethnicity is something one can't change.

wow... seriously. Settle down. It's not like you've never said anything rude or hurt anyone's feelings before. The difference here is that you are not a celebrity and so everything you do is not put all over the internet and CNN. Get over it... If Rosie's not saying it, someone else is and always will be. No use in getting so worked up about it.

I actually hadn't heard about it, I don't have a TV and I don't read the newspaper or listen to the radio, but it sounds very offensive. I'm so sick of our society making biast and prejudiced slurs on people!
