Be very confident and make sure you present yourself well. Also, learn about our culture and trends. Learn whats hot and whats not. Just because something was hot in India, chances are it is not hot here. Learn to speak English well if you haven't already. Learn the lingo, for example bling or ice means diamonds. If you make yourself seem interesting you won't have to find friends, they will come to you. Everywhere I go I meet new people, just don't be scared to start a conversation.
