so let me start by telling you I am 25 and this is pathetic that I was even dreaming of Santa.... anyway... a week ago I had a dream that I saw Santa and told him my one christmas wish was to see the future. he asked what I wanted to know and I asked if I would ever get married. He then actually took me through time and took me to a wedding party.. it was my wedding!!! when I got in closer I saw that I was 82 years old! omg what is that about?

At 25 y/o, you are at a stage where you are wanting to be married and preparing to have children. If my first paragraph is true, it is natural to have some anxiety about whether this will ever happen for you. A lot of dreams have to do with our anxieties.
As children, we asked Santa Claus for gifts and he gave them to us. You want the gift of becoming married. You're afraid that this will never happen for you or if it does, it will be after you are too old to have children (82 y/o).
Your dream is not pathetic! It is quite normal. People are now getting married when they are in their late 20's or early 30's but our bodies are not designed for this. A woman's body/psyche is designed to start having children in the late teen years.
I think your dream is also a wake up call (please excuse the pun). If your present b/f relationship is not leading to marriage, I encourage you to confront him on this and/or start looking for someone else.
I would also think about what kind of man would make a good marriage partner and put yourself where these men are.
From the way you write, you seem to be an intelligent, caring woman. There are many good men who would want to marry you.
The last thing is: if you are Christian or Jewish, it is not Santa Claus that gives us want we need, it is God. I encourage you to ask God to bring a good man into your life.

Sometimes the things we see in our dreams mean nothing. Sometimes they can be a warning or even an answer. I would say that your dream means you will be married and the part about being 82 could mean you are worried (in the back of your mind) that you will be an "old maid" Back in the day "Old Maid" meant you never got married and got old alone. The fact that you have conflicting parts to your dream could indicate that you aren't 100% sure one way or another about getting married. Examine your feelings about the subject and decide how you really feel, maybe you want to get married but at a later point in your life. Good Luck

Your dream tapped into your subconscience which revealed a fear of being an "old maid". It does not mean you will be an old maid; simply that you have fears of not marry for a long, long time. Santa represented your family so it could be more that your family is fearful or you think your family will feel you are going to be an old maid. Don't worry it is only a dream. most of our dreams are the product of our deep thoughts when we are awake. it can be event that you wanted to happen or the other way around. And in your case, it can be the latter. You are probably afraid of being an old-maid given that you are now 25. Then out of your fear, you had this Santa stuff and the future, hoping to reject your fear. As a result, it turned out to be a joke that you were 82 years old on your most-awaited wedding.
I have suggestion to contradict your dream: lighten up yourself, get socialize, and observe carefully the people around you. Maybe your partner is just right beside you now; who knows?... :)

Perhaps the dream was of a future conveyed to you, a happy older person who saw the reality of a hope come to pass. Perhaps you saw your later self married and this was a celebration of your own marriage having happened later on. Who can say when love hits and when we actually unite.Love comes to fruition when we are emotionally ready for the bond. Santa could be a symbol of a power or a source of wishes granted. As when children we send our wishes to Santa, perhaps that was a connection your subconscious used for your better understanding? We all have a symbol our subconscious uses for our benefit and something we can relate to. Mine is always an animal figure.

I think it just means you worry you will be an old maid by the time you get married. I'm sure you will find someone much sooner though. The santa part is just relevent due to the time of year, and he is "all-knowing".
