I'm pretty sure that in a lot of ways religion evolved as a form of govornment and control over people. Could you imagine how chaotic the world would be without religion? It's already totally f*ed up! Then again maybe it would resolve a lot of hate and controversy and war.

DEPENDS ON YOUR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS....
Personally, although I am a man of the cloth, I think that people tend to make their own hells. And you don't necessarily have to be dead to be in hell. Hell can exist in MANY forms, and their sole purpose is to keep you there, without any chance of redeeming yourself.
LIFE IS CHOICE - What you do with it is up to you.
And remember - your choices affect not only you,
BUT THOSE AROUND YOU TOO.....

Well, I don't neccessarily think that it was old people, I think that it was the church, but yeah, I think hell is a fabrication.

No, the Bible says hell is the place God created for the Devil and his angels (demons), and people who reject God and His gift of eternal life.

no hell is a complete seperation from God. Its total seclusion from him. Follow your faith and believe in God and you wont have to worry about Hell. It may be hard to do at times but following God is the best way to go. You will go to heaven then.
