That isn't a question.
I normally would ignore such a post, but I have to pipe in. Don't give in to the mac hype. Macbooks are OK, but they cost 2-3 times more than a comparable windows-powered computer. Plus, most of the programs you are familiar with won't work on the mac.
Save your money and frustration. Stick with PC. If you really want something new, go with Linux. At least then all the software is free.

Hi Joe Mo,
Congratulations. I've got an older PowerBook and I love using it. I've been looking at the new MacBook Pros and they look fabulous. I especially like the built-in iSight camera for video conferencing. I don't know what you normally use your PC for, but most everything is available for the Mac. The main benefit, of course, is that there's no computer viruses for the Mac.
Don't let these Windows bigots tell you different. There's plenty of great programs for the Mac, as well as many Unix and Windows ports. Microsoft just released an upgrade to Microsoft Office for the Mac just last week. With the Intel-based MacBook Pro, you can also use those windows programs, on Windows right on your MacBook Pro.
If there is a local Macintosh dealer in your area, be sure to stop by and try using a Mac yourself. Ask questions and try it yourself. You will discover that there's really not too many differences between the two OS's. You'll pick it up in no time. Best of luck on your new direction.

Please don't listen to these Windows fanboys. I have an iMac and I love it. I am not going to tell you to get a Mac, I will tell you to go to your local Apple Store or CompUSA and check them out. I will grantee that you will love it. Mac OS has a lot less problems then Windows, I am a PC tech so I know. Also, don't listen to this "Macs are more expensive" crap. Yes they are more expensive then a $499 Dell but you are getting a much better computer. Take a look at this I have compared 2 computers the 17 in Macbook pro and a Dell XPS M1710
MBP:
2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM - 2x1GB
160GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm
SuperDrive 8x (DVD+R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
MacBook Pro 17-inch Glossy Widescreen Display
Backlit Keyboard/Mac OS - U.S. English
Wireless and Bluetooth
ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics with 256MB SDRAM
Accessory Kit
$2799
XPS:
Intel Core 2 Duo T7600 (2.33GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 667 MHz FSB)
Genuine Windows® XP Media Center Edition 2005
No Express Upgrade to Windows Vista Selected
17 inch Wide Screen UXGA Display
2GB DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHZ, 2 DIMM
160GB 5400 RPM SATA Hard Drive
8X CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability
Wireless and Bluetooth
256MB NVIDIA® GeForce⢠Go 7900 GS
$3539
I have tried to get the computers as close as possible. As, you can see the Dell is over $700 more for the same computer and you can't run Mac OS and Windows like you can with the MBP. So there you have it. I would have don't the comparison with the 15in. models but Dell didn't really have a 15 that was as fast that I could find. Anyway, I hope this helps.
