Some people's bodies just show faster than others. If you are a smaller framed person, you will probably have to start growing out faster than someone with wider hips. My friend had a perceptible baby bump at around 12 weeks but I didn't start showing until I was closer to 5 months. She bounced back to pre-baby size faster though....

There's not much you can do about getting bigger but you can make yourself feel better about it! :) If you've got the cash, go buy some cute maternity clothes. They'll fit and you'll have the ego boost of looking good too! I always liked shopping Old Navy's maternity section. They have good clearance sales and they have resonably priced, comfy, trendy clothes. If you don't have a lot of money to spend, you might check out local OB/GYNs, the YWCA, and women's centers. My birthing center has a clothes closet and you can just take clothes as you need them (they do encourage you to donate clothes after you are no longer in need of them)

Because you are putting on weight.....I felt that way too. Just don't over eat. Stick to a good well balanced diet and you will feel a whole lot better. You may not feel like you are better but good food will make a difference. Sometimes it sucks but then you feel that baby move and fat and bloaty feels good!

Hon, I couldn't fit in my clothes at 5 weeks with our first.

You may already be retaining water! I gained 55 lbs with my first and after birth and fluid pills was only 8 over pre-preg weight!

I was the exact same way. I am now 28 weeks and look like I should but i started showing really fast. I am sure that the pan of brownies when i found out i was prego didn't help much either for me. but It is perfectly normal so don't worry.

This is normal. When pregnant your digestive system slows way down, leading to bloating and feeling fat. I had to take Benefiber everyday to make sure that things kept moving along. Benefiber is perfectly safe. It is just fiber.
