so i have a 91, 305 and it is equipped factory with an "air pump" that pumps fresh air into the exhaust.i would like to get headers but in doing so i would have to eliminate the air pump(to the best of my knowladge)..I would also like to hook my oxygen sensor up so i can maximize the benifits of my computer controlled fuel delivery..if i leave out the air pump with headers it will read that it is running rich and will compensate.I would appreciate your vote, and i will give best answer

Don't buy "cheapo" headers. GOOD brand name headers will have all you need to keep it functioning as new.

Stainless costs more but are a better product that will last forever almost.

look into a header from hooker, borla,or flow master.either of them will have the fittings required to hook everything up, and theyre carb approved.

to be legal you need to buy CARB approved headers and these will have all the proper fittings.you need all the components for the computer to operate prperly and not set codes
