which laptop is best?

i need something cheap and fast. i mainly need it for downloading stuff and was wondering which is fast for a good price. ive been looking at the lenovo 3000 C200 and it has some good stuff in it and is cheap. is this a good laptop and is there anything better for less. This costs $650 so anything fast in this price range is good for me.

If all youre wanting to do is use it for downloading and basic programs then 650 dollars is aot more than what you need.

FAST will be dependant on what type of internet you have.
Other than that, download download and download.
You could even get a 400 computer from walmart.
Because you realy arent going to be using it for graphics or for mulitple programs.

If all you want is a laptop for downloading get any new computer that has 512 MB of RAM.
As far as storage space....depends on what youll be downloading.
one song is 3-5 MB, which means you could download 200-300 songs for every GB
And since 40 GB is pretty standard on a laptop now that means you could download 1000 songs and that will only use up 5GB

Movies are different. But then a simple external Hard Drive for 75 bucks can give you a ton of storage space for movies.
I wouldnt be surprised if you got yourself a computer and an external Hard drive for about 650 and thats tax included.

For just downlaoding and basic computer needs, I know thats how much I could get a computer for that purpose for.

I would either check Lenovo, HP or Dell. They are the best quality products for the best price.
