So I am 30 weeks pregnant, and I will get this sharp pain in my ribs, thus I assume my son is kicking me in the ribs. Then a few minutes later I am getting jabbed in the bladder. My understanding is that he is pretty long at this point in pregnancy and I don't feel him flip over. At 30 weeks are they facing down or up? Can they flip without you feeling it? This will help me figure out where I am actually getting kicked.

At 30 weeks there is still room for the baby to change position. Don't forget that not only are there legs kicking you, but there are knees jabbing you and little fists punching you too! When I was pregnant I had a little butt tucked up under my ribs and that was not much fun. I would ask your doctor to tell you what is what, they can tell, I never really could! It is all a bit uncomfortable, but one day you will look back with fond memories, I promise!

they are like little hyper squirrels in there, your baby is moving and floating around having a party LOL! now your baby is going to do so rapid growing and the movements will slow down as far as the ribs my baby use to get up there and I would get on all fours and shake her out. I tease her about that now. Hope you have an easy and safe birth good luck with the baby they are so precious.

They move but subtly. I'm sure he just got stuck under your ribs and moved out of the way. He's probably in the position he'll stay in until birth now.

at 30 weeks they're usually in the position that they're going to stay in until birth. babies seem to find a way to kick everywhere though! lol

if hes facing the right way, it will be his feet under your ribs ( which in a few weeks may give you wicked heartburn) and hes head on your bladder! my bubs constantly turns, head always down though, so i get elbows, feet in all different spots! all the best!

You could also be feeling punches, elbows, and knees. Are you able to tell them apart yet?
