Our presence in Iraq is a rallying point for the terrorists.
The throwing out of Saddam is a destabilizing force that allowed a civil war to erupt from long simmering feuds.

What I feel is the most under reported part of helping the terrorists is how his oil policy is allowing Mideast oil industries to have record profits. This breeds more terrorists because 90% of the terrorists money comes from mid-east oil revenues. He could not of been more pleasing to Al Quida if he gave them blow jobs.

No. Terrorists don't hate us cause of Bush they hate us cause we don't support the destruction of Israel. And guess what....no matter what we could have done they would come after us for that simple fact. The media like to make it sound like everything is Bush's fault, and if we run away like the democrats want to do they will come after us still. Plus if you look into what their goal is you will see that it is world domination. Their own words are to wipe out all infidels and make Islam a global power. How would you like to live under the Taliban? Quite blaming Bush!

You are right, anybody who disagrees with you is a fool.
I wonder what things would be like if we were actually fighting terrorism, as opposed to ignoring them while we are mired in the ludiocracy of the war in Iraq.
By the way, if any of the right wing morons think we will really create a democracy in Iraq that stands the test of time, I have a bridge to sell you. It's really nice, it goes from Brooklyn to Manhattan.

Naturally, the common people don't want war ... but after all it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country.

Think of terrorists like rabbits and warring against them illegally like a habitat and then time goes by....

You may even be on a database now that considers you a terrorist, think about it!!

No. Where do you get your facts? Have you noticed that there have been no more terror attacks? Terrorists attack. It's what they do. Less terrorists equals less attacks. Simple logic.

You are probably referring to the insurgency in Iraq. Those are insurgents, not terrorists. They are not trying to terrorize the american people, but kill our soldiers. They are Saddam loyalists who are still running around the countryside with many of the low-tech weapons Saddam stashed around the country before we went in.

In the short-term yes, in the long term there may not be much of a difference.

It was found that retaliatory strikes against terrorism increases short-term terrorism and makes no difference to long-term terrorism.
