Every year kids pinch you at school if you don't wear green. Why?

To signify Ireland, which is mostly beautiful green countryside. It's tradition especially for Irish people to wear green on St. Patrick's Day, so if you forget the green they pinch you or do something to remind you.

Green is the main color of ireland, which St.Patrick was.


He was a Pagan, that converted to christianity (His father stayed pagan) and led a revolution in ireland burning all literature the could find written by pagan authors and burning villages and areas known to be inhabbited by pagans.

Later on in history, the church found this act "holy" (ironic ehh) and declared him a saint.

the green is for good luck, and when you forget to wear green then you get pinched.
