They actually do wake me up in the morning and they make me feel extra clean for some reason.

I don't know about cold showers. But i think showers period, will wake a person up in the morning..

They are great for waking up at times you are really sleepy, or for relaxing and recharging energies when you are stressed and tired.
Cold showers are not for everyday, but once in a while, they really make you feel alive.
