Am I being unreasonable or should I be worried...I had unprotected sex on the 20th day of my last cycle. I got what I thought was my period 2 days later (lighter than usual and more brown instead of red, laste only 4 days, mine usually last 6), which was 5 days early. I was relieved and had no more worries of being pregnant. Since then, though, I have been extrememly tired - almost unable to get anything done when I get home from work. I've been getting headaches - nothing serious, but I never get headaches. I've been eating more than usual, and thirsty constantly. I started to get especially worried and looking things up online because for the past few days, I have been going to the bathroom constantly...the urge comes and I cannot hold it.

My question is, is it possible that I am pregnant even though I had my period? Are these symptoms of pregnany or something else?

Please help, I don't know if I'm ridiculous to be worrying about this or if I should take a test...

If your unsure you should take a test, it can't hurt anything. It is possible that you are pregnant, it is also possible that your worring is causing you to feel symptoms similar to pregnancy. The only sure way to find out though is with a test. I'm sure many of us have taken an unnecessary pregnancy test before, problem is we don't know if they're necessary or not till after. Good luck on getting the results you want. :)

I would buy a home pregnancy test if I were you. You can still have spotting or even what may look like a light period and be pregnant. There are home pregnancy tests that you can take before you even miss your period. They can tell you 4-5 days before you are supposed to start.
If you are make an appt with your Dr. asap so they can do blood test to confirm......

The only way to ease your mind will be to take a pregnancy test. They are very cheap and you should be able to find one for less than $5 at your local discount store. You can have some spotting or bleeding and still be pregnant, but when this had happened in 2 of my pregnancies, it only happened once, not over a series of days.

Alot of your symptoms are the same thing I'm doing, and I'm 99.99% sure I'm pregnant........ Dr took blood tonight @ 7PM. He said he also thought I was.... Go to www.twoweekwait.com ~ The women tell their signs of early pregnancy..... I had to know due to my job....... If you can wait for a HPT then do, but if you cant, call and ask for a blood draw....... It will tell you right now, yes or no.......They can do one in the am , and tell you by pm tomorrow, IF Dr puts a rush on the lab........

The only way to put your mind at ease is to take a test. They aren't that expensive - and the cost is well worth the peace of mind!
