When do we say that a past event can actually be accurately accounted as history? For example, 9/11. Is that history? Does an event have to go through certain "steps"?

I hope you understand my question. Its a little bit confusing- lol.

Good question , if I had to decide I would say as soon as it is over it is history . Both points of view could be true however .

although many would justifiably consider this current as the impact isstill in play I think yesterday is history and quite often today in my mind; you're cooked you're fried you're played you're history!
