When I was fifteen my dad gave me a ring with a small diamond in it. He said he wanted to be the man to give me my first diamond. It was a special father/daughter moment and for it to happen on Christmas morning just made it even more special.

Two years ago it snowed 12 - 14 inches in south Texas. It started about 11:00 pm on Christmas eve and snowed throughout the night. It never snows here. Everyone was out in the middle of the night, children and adults, playing in the snow. There was so much joy and laughter. This was the greatest Chrismast gift I have ever recieved, watching my 3 daughters and my neighbors on this great night. This was truely a gift from God and I will never forget it.

Two years ago, when my Dad came to my house for Christmas, he was 84 at the time, we passed in the hallway, he just stopped and gave me a big ole smooch and said "love ya". He's a gruff, tuff old guy and never does anything like that! And he did it in front of people!!!
