For example, I will wear a serious, even classic-looking blazer, with a wild tendy shirt under it. Or leather and lace. Or amazingly large earrings with a conservative outfit. How about you?

Clashing two-toned turquoise flat shoes with jeans.

An '80s ballet-neckline short-sleeved sweater (yes, sweater) with a long tank top under to control the tummy and gray dress pants.

And also mixing old raggedy '70s T-shirts from Goodwill with business clothes, or wearing a rag T-shirt under a black suit jacket. I love to wear suit jackets (blazers? Are they the same thing?) over any old outfit instead of a sweatshirt just to look a bit less slovenly, for example, when I wake up right before I have to teach class and don't have time to brush my hair.

I also wear my college class ring on my wedding finger. Ha. Because I'm married to school.

Brown velvet blazer, frilly lace blouse, large gold butterfly necklace, skinny jeans, lace-up high-heeled brown leather boots and a metallic Coach tote bag. One of my favorite outfits.

Another favorite: Brown safari blazer, sequined and colorful flower printed T-shirt, several gold choker necklaces, brown dress pants and round-toe pumps with a brown bow on them. The blazer is tied and knotted at the waist, and I wear a handbag that is also brown.
