i wanted to ask what can i do so my turtle wont die...so it can be happy...what are good things i can do ..the water the food the..please help

An aquatic turtle should have what they refer to as a pull out erea. There should be a heat lamp over this erea for him to raise his body temp. The water should be kept at 65 to 70 degrees at all times. The turtle should be able to leave the water with very little effort and go back in with very little effort. If it is an aquatic turtle give it as much water to swim in as you can. He also needs a basking area.. turtles need UV. Give him a diet of variety. Our turtles (we have 4) love feeder fish, lettuce, strawberries and pellets. Dont feed him hamburger. Make sure the water stays clean. Turtles are messy. You will need a good filter. the water should be deep enough that if it flips over it can swim right side up.. it will need a rest area where it can totally crawl out of the water.. water should be cleaned at least once a week.. food wise. they have great pellets out there for them.. supplement with greens like spinach.. and sometimes carrots and such.. depending on it's size they also like ground beef and goldfish.. a heat lamp might be required depending on it's size and the temperature of the house..

Go to Ebay or any book store and buy the book "Turtles for Dummies". It covers all turtles.
