You know those people who fakely laugh at everything to make it look like they think you're hilarious (they usually do this with bosses, parents of bf/gf, etc.)_ I think they're annoying as hell. You??

It can get pretty obnoxious, but there are some times when one must fake a laugh. Sometimes ya gotta bite your tongue and suck up to get what you want in life. Yes, you'll kick yourself at the end of the day, but that promotion is worth that ounce of dignity. And sometimes a fake laugh can give an extra boost to someone's confidence. Say your best friend tells a bad joke and you laugh so that he doesn't feel bad. But please, make it believable. My theory is that if you laugh often enough, you won't even have to fake it.

They are annoying, because they give the same laugh for WHATEVER is said. Now, sometimes a comment or joke deserves JUST a giggle, or a chuckle, or a quick "ha". Those aren't really fake laughers; they're just giving the amount of laughter they think something said deserves

i think they are fake in every way if they have to fake to laugh. laughing comes naturally.

Sometimes they're just being polite. I mean, for example, if your boss tells a bad joke, you can't just say... uh, NOT FUNNY!
