Dad= a normal male. Made mistakes while young, but turned out normal and calm around middle/late 20's. Get along better with him now that I am a adult.. I'm lots like him then I noticed as a child.

Mom= perfect little mom that made the heart shaped pancakes, cleaned and cooked. Stay up all night making baby doll clothes..Things like that. Worried and stressed all the time about nothing. Nervous type person.

I feel bad and sad for you, but realize the worse is over and you
seem to be a well educated and smart adult even after all the
trauma in your life.
No one is perfect and we all have our faults, but I could not have
asked for better parents than mine were. They both have passed
away and I miss them terribly.
After you have suffered so much, now maybe is the time to think
of only the good memories and put the bad ones aside and
move ahead with your life. Make a decision to live life to the fullest . I wish you much love, luck, and happiness for the rest of your life.

My mom is aggressive when it comes to parenting, optimistic, caring and my second best friend (God is my first). My dad is paranoid and passive when it comes to discipline. Both parents are loving, hardworking and Christians and I wouldn't trade them for the world. Because trading them would change my predicament and as a Christian I know that dealing with tough situations such as my dad's paranoia makes me a stronger person by testing my faith in God.

My dad is a control freak, rich and greedy, sarcastic, insulting, womanizing adulterer, racist, and an old intelligent man...

My mother is a christian freak, too judgemental, hard-working immigrant (not mexican), absolutely unreliable, friendly, a push over depending on her mood, ignorant (she's not the brightest crayon in the box)...

Now I'm hoping you don't judge my character based upon presented facts... =)

Actually I am too traumatized to go into it!! I feel for you and all the others who have had to be the adult in the family. I hope you can find peace in your life with other people who are loving and reliable to you. Best of luck to you.
