What makes you think it's not there already ? What you mean is burning herbs, waving crystals around, and chanting clap-trap right? All hospitals have chapels and clergy on call for many religions. This is where true spirituality lays. In the MIND and the SOUL not in the trappings of voodoo.

It is your body and your mind.In an enclosed , limited space. A mini micro existence.

Spirituality is totally free , without any limits. A macro reality.

If the patient understands this difference, his treatment for the body and the mind can be more effective. A doctor cannot, certainly, teach spirituality to the patients .Please understand spirituality does not involve any ceremony at all. Not one. One can only feel it enveloping you.

I know that spirituality helps. I have seen people get better through prayer and I am more healthy when I use meditation. Sometimes it's hard to hold onto the spiritual side. This website is simple but it helped me http://www.rubastone.com

Spirituality is a personal thing and one needs to be receptive to it for it to be of any value. I love your idea, maybe it could be incorporated as an option to patients - Now that would be great.

Good thinking!

No. When I'm in the hospital, I want medical treatment, not religious mumbo-jumbo.
