Why would an American man ever want to marry an American woman in today's society?

Just curious, why taking into account the way society is today why would an American male(specially if you are non religious) under 40, white or black ever want to marry an American woman? I have been to about 4 weddings of Americas in the last 4 years between white male/white female, w/w, black/black, and bl male/wh female. They all got divorced in less than 2 years. Everybody that I know is getting divorced. 1) These days it is very easy to have sex without getting married, and sex is nothing to so many American women (believe me I went to college here, why buy a cow when you can get the milk for free). 2) Before most of the time the woman was the main person holding the marriage, nowadays that is mostly not the case, lots of them are pretty quick in divorcing. 3) Money loses in general are pretty bad for males. 4) Many American women are raised to be like males, not many good wives in that group, more into parties & drinking. I have noticed that a sizable population of urban educated white men are marrying Asian, Indian, & East European women. Two of the three wives of Donald Trump are East European, Senator Web of VA's second wife is Asian.

When I asked some of my friends as to what attracted them to the exotics, the underlying theme was that felt that they were marrying a real woman, who knew the difference of when to act soft and when to act tough; unlike many American women who are on a perpetual ball-breaker mode. The American woman wanted emancipation and liberation; well they've got it.

Secondly thousands of white men who earn around $40K or less are basically considered losers by white women. So these guys, most of whom attended college or live in suburbs or urban areas where you meet exotic women, simply "import" a mail order bride from Russia, Phillipines, Poland etc. So all in all guess who loses out!

Maybe, the question should be why would an American girl want to marry an American guy? There are two sides to every story. The relationships that ended in divorce, what was the reason? I think that society as a whole is changing the roles that men and women traditionally held. No longer is it that the woman stays home and does the cooking and cleaning. For most couples, it is necessary that the wife have to work and take care of the household duties. While it seems that the men still only have to take on the role of breadwinner. I'm sure that money losses happen to both parties of the relationship. Maybe you're right and people should just live together. One more thought, if American women are not good enough maybe you should consider not living in America!!!!

It seems like they really didn't get to know each other first. And it is not always the woman, sometimes it is the man. There are always 2 sides of the story. Sometimes they think they are right for each other when really they are not. It is hard for a man to find a good woman, just like it is hard for a woman to find a good man. I believe in talking and getting to know one another first. It may take a year but in the long run it is worth it. And sometimes when a woman has the ring on her finger she believes the man should support her. But in today's society woman are taught differently. It takes two to hold the marriage but if the woman really loves the man she will hold the marriage together and work on it and so will the man. It takes two not one.

U know, other cultures are slowly americanizing too. It's all generalities. There are some good wife material in this country, u just have to find it. There are many who do believe in marriage, and only doing it once. But some ppl just aren't compatible with one another, and it doesn't seem fair to anyone to hold on to a bad marriage. It's stupid to marry someone from another culture just because culturally, divorce a bad thing. That idea can change. Secondly, it's not the best idea to stay married just because culture dictates...because that's a hard life on u and everyone involved.

Because they love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together, but people now days just dont try to make their marriages work. I have been married for a long time and we have had our problems, but we worked at them to stay together. I think that today the divorce should be standing at the back of the church after the wedding with papers in hand. People just dont want to try to stay together.

My husband is pretty happy. This is very rude. I'll have you know, that my husband is the ONLY man I have been with. I, on the other hand, am not the only person he has had sex with. What are you saying, that this behavior is acceptable from men, but not women?
