2,000 words is generally about ten pages. Things like block quotes and citations will alter the length of the paper, but in Times New Roman 12 point font, double spaced, you will end up around ten pages.

A 200 word essay would be about 1 page so that makes a 2000 word essay almost a 10 page essay.

I have found that about 300 words will fit on a page in Times New Roman, 12 font, double spaces, and 1 inch margins. Of course, this word count includes things like articles (a and the), conjunctions, helping verbs, and other things the teacher might not count as words. It may be around 10 pages, given that factor. But perhaps not quite that long, but close.

I've also heard the 500 words per page which dates back to the prehistoric days of typewriters. Just out of curiosity, I copied a Wikibook (sans graphics) into OpenOffice, formatted it totally as Times New Roman 12 point with 1 inch margins and it actually came to about 3 1/4 pages.
To be on the safe side, with headings but not headers and footers, I'd shoot for most of 4 pages.
But why are you asking us? Your word processor should tell you the number of words you have typed so far. In OpenOffice it's actually labeled as "Word Count" under the "Tools" section. I don't have MSWord with me but I think that also has a "Tools" section but the label within that section is more obtuse - something like "Statistics" maybe. If it's you can't find it, search "Help" for "word count".

This depends on a number of variables. However, I'll give it my best shot. At a normal font (say Courier 10) and normal page layout, your average printed page should have about 560 words. That is about 56 lines, 10 words on average per line. Therefore, by my calculation, you'd need about 4 pages. I'd play it safe and do 5 pages. :)

I would have in mind about 7 pages if I set that limit.

If you type it up on Microsoft Word, you can check how many words you have. Tools>Word Count
I'm pretty sure that most word processors have the word count feature, I just don't have any others :D
