Im am getting so frustrated, i was given 2 due dates, first the 23rd, then the 28th, then they said they were going by the 23rd which would mean that saturday im due but on tuesday my doctor said its better to go by the 28th now just incase. So im 39wks now and on tuesday my doctor didnt even check me, 3wks ago i lost my mucus plug and doc said i was a little dilated but cervix hadnt done much yet at that time. Now i still lose some mucus if im walking or even rocking in my rocking chair(its clearish yellow) never any blood in it. I have a lot more pressure lately real low in my back and sharp pains shooting down. I want to have this baby before xmas because i have a 3yr old i need to be home with xmas morning and im worried I wont be. I have sex at least once a day(both of us having orgasm) nipple stimulation brings on hard contractions that eventually go away, spicy food didnt do anything, i walked like crazy, Can anyone help?? what else can i do, an do most women go b4 or after due

Most women with their first pregnancies go over (if not induced) an average of 10 days. However, this isn't your first, so anything can happen! Nipple stimulation is good, like you mentioned, going on walks, rocking on a pilates/birth ball helps move the baby into position, pelvic thrusts (on hand and knees), and my midwives told me to scrub my kitchen floor on my hands and knees! In the end, the baby is going to come when it's ready, although it certainly sounds like it could be anytime. Also, the clearish yellow doesn't sound like mucus, it sounds like amniotic fluid, so you may want to take an amnio-test. If your water has broken, most doctors want the baby out within 24 hours, although it's safe to go longer as long as you are cleansing regularly to keep bacteria out of the birth canal. Good luck!

Increase the walking and nipple stimulation. Try nipple stimulation while walking. After a couple of hours of that, if
regular contractions don't start, try going for a ride in the car along a really bumpy road as fast as possible.
The car ride thing worked with my sister and the nipple stimulation thing while walking fast worked for me.

you should have sex and right after orgasm you should try nipple stimulation. that will make the contractions stronger and probably make them regular. good luck! all I can say is to walk. that has brought on labor to all of my friends who have had babies. everyone is different. my mom had my sister before she was due. i was two weeks late and my brother was a week early.

Try eating eggplant. You can fry it up with some egg batter so it can have some taste to it. I tried it when i was 2 weeks past due and that night I went to the hospital with contractions and I delivered that next mornig. It actually works!!
