At first it had to be amazing to be Bill Gates. I mean he could do anything, go anywhere, buy anything legal or illegal, probably even have anyone. But once you've done that for a few years, what is left? After while everything is old. The 1 million dollar new car is old the minute you drive off the lot!
I'm into a life full of Jesus. I talk to Him and I read His Word, I pray His Word, I call on His Name and I am filled up with His life. I meet with many other Christians and we come together just to enjoy Jesus. That is where happiness really is - in fact happiness is due to outside circumstances (do I have 2 Billion dollars so I can by a castle in France! Wow!) or Joy which comes from within!
I hope this helps. If you want to write to me about this you can write to me at hislove@writeme.com Right now I need to shut my computer off and read about Him... B-)

I agree! Money buys temporary happiness it doesn't really keep you in that state of mind for long. Eventually you get bored of whatever has made you happy for the moment, so yea not forever. There's more valuable things that can bring happiness to many it doesn't all have to be material or physical activities.

Money buy happiness. However, it can prevent a lot of stress from entering into your life. We go back to our old day to day lives because society tells us that the CPU or T.V. we bought yesterday is no longer cool and you must have the latest and greatest.

I agree thats it is only temp. When I'm feeling down, spending a little on things that arn't really priority brings me up. Then after a couple of hours, I remember other ways I could of put that money to better use and immediately feel like sh*t! I feel like a cheapskate at times, but I'm really not.

Money can buy happiness. Money can buy machines used in hospitals to help the ill or diseased, and saves lives, making the person and their family happy. Not always, but it can in some cases.

yes i think this is true. material things will make people happy for awhile but after a while things will get boring and plus people need companionship and if you pay someone to spend time with you. Sure they will spend time with you, but they are probably doing it for the money !!

Money buys things that make us happy for the short-term. Eventually, it can become too much of a good thing.

I'd say no....but speaking as someone who grew up without much money, I can say this: Money can't buy happiness, but it can make misery a little more comfortable.
