I like the name. I work in daycare and we had one little boy named Nivek (nahveek) its Kevin spelled backwards. He was named after his daddy.

Nevaeh is the only name I can think of that is a word spelled backwards. There are several fairly common names that are proper names spelled backwards, though: Senga for Agnes and Semaj for James to name two.
Nevaeh is so awful--I can't believe how many parents have chosen this name. And they ALWAYS introduce the kid as "This is Nevaeh...it's heaven spelled backwards." Bleah.

I think Nevaeh is a pretty name. I have a neice with the same name so I may be one sided, as far as other names that could be spelled backwards just put your mind to it, and you can come up with something..

Nomar Garciaparra, a major league ball player (former American league rookie of the year, 1997) is named after his father who's name is ramon, so they spelled his name backward and came up with nomar. I thought it was interesting and sweet that he was named after his dad but he wasn't a junior, technically!

There are some terrible names out there, some of the ones I have seen here are just shocking. People are seeking to be individual in naming their kids, but really they are just labelling their kids with hideous, ugly, embarrassing names.

No, actually. Semaj is another one in the top 1000 in the U.S. - James backwards. You also see Legna (Angel). It's not a new trend, either; Enola (Alone) has been around for decades.

No, there are others. But this is a trend that should fade away as quickly as possible.
There are now thousands of little Nevaehs out there. Blech.
With a whole world of names to choose from, why are we constantly trying to make up more? :) The sheer multitude of possible names is what makes naming a baby so hard!

Nevah is haven backwards. Lay off the booze. And I'm pretty sure Nevah isn't a name, and if it is it's uncommon. Heaven backwards would be Nevaeh.
