Once when the airlines made a mistake on my departure time and put me on another air line at their cost. That was many many years ago. In fact the planes were prop driven engines (not jet engines) then. Haven't flown since.

Only once. My family got bumped one time because none of us were by each other (rows apart) and I was on an exit row at the ripe old age of 13. It's nothing special except the seats are a little wider.

Yes, once..My dad was in the hospital in another state..They were snowed in where I was supposed to switch planes..so they rerouted me and gave me first class..Very cool!! Seen one of the actor's from City Slickers on the plane..

Yes, but only by accident - they had given my seat away and the only one left was in first class.

Only once, I was fling standby and the only seat left was in first class. It was very nice so much more room.

no. comparing coach of 20 years ago to coach today, though, I think that was almost first class compared to the misery of flying these days.
