This is VERY serious. You need to go back to the doctor and they are either going to prescribe a stronger antibiotic, or they will check you into the hospital for a few days and have an antibiotic administered intraveniously. Either way, you need to take care of this ASAP. In addition, eat yogurt every day to help replenish your intestines with "good" bacteria. You can also take acidopholus supplements (grocery store should have them in the vitamin section).

Generally when you see a doctor for an infection of this type,
they will give you an idea as to how long it will take for the
infection to show improvement. It's hard to give a general
idea without knowing more about the nature of the original
injury.

However, if you've been on antibiotic creams/pills for three
weeks and are still having a pus-y discharge from the wound
site, I'd recommend going back in to the doc for two reasons.
First, you don't want to mess with losing a finger. Secondly,
there is a possibility the infection you have is resistant to the
antibiotics you've been given. See the doc.

It seems your finger had a serious problem. You have to go back to the doctor so they can clean it and give you new medication and tell the doctor what medicines you have take and also the cream you have apply.

Get yourself back to the doctor! Unresolved infection, taken to its limits, could result in having to have the finger amputated. If your doctor isn't taking this seriously, get a new doctor. They may need to open and drain the infected area. Also, IV antibiotics may be necessary. Please get to a doctor.
